The De Paul house offers emergency housing and social support services to disadvantaged families on the North Shore. The team are committed to providing a holistic service that ensures families have all the support they need while staying at De Paul House and when they are living in the community.

Hugh Green Foundation has made a significant contribution over the past two years to current renovations being undertaken at De Paul House facilities. This includes a new learning centre, childcare centre and eventually new self contained units.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity aims at building brighter futures, strong foundations, healthier children and stronger families. Every 24 hours Habitat for Humanity completes 115 homes around the world. The needs of all these families are diverse, but so are the Habitat for Humanity solutions. They not only build homes but they help those who have been struck by disaster and they partner in international projects to provide communities with sanitation and clean water. No matter what housing solution their aim will always remain the same which is a foundation for a better life. The Hugh Green Foundation made a donation to Habitat for Humanity in 2016 for a new restore in Pukekohe.

This restore helped give Habitat for Humanity some confidence and faith to help them achieve their goals quickly and effectively by running an operating profit within 12 months. In 2017 they also gave grants for two more new restores within Auckland. The main aim of these restores is to help partner with people of goodwill and families in severe housing and social need to provide affordable, safe, healthy and sustainable housing solutions. The restores sell quality new and secondhand materials. They are an essential key in the funding stream to continue their ongoing work. Habitat for Humanity also serves as a point of reference for information to the public.
